# Professional Internship Opportunities at the Secretariat General of the DPR RI

The Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (Setjen DPR RI) serves as the primary support system for the legislature, providing essential administrative, expert, and procedural assistance to ensure the smooth operation of parliamentary functions. Governed by Presidential Regulation Number 26 of 2020, the institution is led by a Secretary General who reports directly to the leadership of the DPR RI.

We are currently opening competitive internship positions for high-achieving students who wish to gain direct exposure to the legislative environment.

## General Application Requirements
To be considered for any of the available internship positions, applicants must prepare the following documentation:
* Official Letter: A formal introduction from your university addressed to the Head of the Legislative Human Resources Development Center (PUSBANGKOM) at the Setjen DPR RI, clearly stating the internship objectives and intended topic.
* Academic Records: Current Study Plan Card (KRS) and updated academic transcripts.
* Curriculum Vitae: A comprehensive and professional resume.
* Personal Identification: Two 2x3 cm passport-sized photographs with a red background, and a copy of your Student ID (KTM).
* Recommendation: An official letter of recommendation from your academic institution.
* Motivation Letter: A handwritten document detailing your strengths, weaknesses, core competencies, motivations for applying, and your professional expectations.
## Available Internship Divisions

1. Plenary Session Division (Administration)
* Quota: 2 Participants
* Requirements: Must provide a personal laptop, demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and maintain a professional appearance and strong discipline.
* Deadline: October 9, 2026

2. Minutes and Records Division
* Quota: 1 Participant
* Target Majors: Public Administration, Business Administration, Office Administration, or Archival Science.
* Requirements: Understanding of basic archival governance, proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Commitment to a 3-month tenure is required.
* Deadline: September 21, 2026

3. Building and Installation Division
* Quota: 6 Participants (Building, Electrical, and Mechanical)
* Requirements: Proficiency in AutoCAD, presentation software, and simple Bill of Quantities (RAB) estimation. Applicants should possess knowledge of electrical engineering, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), mechanical systems (Lifts/Escalators), HVAC, and plumbing.
* Deadline: September 30, 2026

4. Secretariat of Commission V (Session Services)
* Quota: 3 Participants
* Target Majors: Law, Political Science, or Communication.
* Requirements: Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong teamwork capabilities, honesty, and a disciplined work ethic.
* Deadline: September 21, 2026

5. Legislative Body Secretariat (Technical Policy Analysis)
* Quota: 2 Participants
* Specialization: Sub-division for Meeting Coordination (requires Law degree) or Administrative Affairs (requires Public Administration/Management degree).
* Focus: Drafting session documents, recording meeting minutes, processing official government correspondence, and maintaining office inventory.
* Program Dates: November 10, 2026 – December 18, 2026.
* Deadline: October 1, 2026

6. State Financial Accountability Agency (Technical Policy Analysis)
* Quota: 2 Participants
* Target Majors: Economics, Accounting, Law, Government Science, or Public Administration.
* Focus: Assisting in the review of BPK RI audit reports, summarizing findings, identifying causality, and analyzing supporting legislative data.
* Program Dates: November 10, 2026 – December 18, 2026.
* Deadline: October 1, 2026
## Internship Code of Conduct
All interns at the Setjen DPR RI must adhere to the BERAKHLAK values (Service-oriented, Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative). Specific professional standards include:
* Professional Attire: Formal shirts and dress pants are mandatory; jeans, t-shirts, and casual wear are strictly prohibited.
* Conduct: Maintaining a polite, professional demeanor at all times.
* Schedule: Full-time attendance is expected from 08:00 to 16:00 WIB. Interns should ensure their university schedule does not conflict with these hours.
* Identification: Official ID cards and university alma mater jackets must be worn when moving within the facility or attending official meetings.

Please note: Internships at the Secretariat General of the DPR RI are non-paid positions.
